I fear the worst for our plants on the balcony. The hailstones were big and there were plenty of them...

ReplyDeleteDear Dad's young winter spinach plants were battered by hail 2 weeks ago (storm was so bad parts of the roof of a shopping complex fell in). 7 day storm here became tedious.
But you're almost in Summer, so hail is way worse. I will send healing, healthy and wellness thoughts to the chilli plants.
Today I saw some blue sky.... for a few seconds....... then it rained again.........
@Toño: daisy is not that badly hit, though 75% of the geranium and 50% of the chili are down.

ReplyDeleteIt was a doozy all right. Ewan had to walk home in it and was soaked right through when he got home!
Yikes. We had a pretty monster hail storm a few months ago in Central Texas. I'm now pricing out a new roof for my house. Thankfully the storm and its golfball-sized hail arrived didn't damage any of my windows. I was really hoping it would knock over the back fence, though.
