While I was in India, my boss was stripping me off some essential competencies - not even a month after I was formerly installed as pointy haired boss. It's nothing personal, he also did it to some of my peers. However, there is a question I'm pondering:

Three weeks off are long enough to put your thoughts in order. I know it is not easy to valuate things, but if there is a change needed, then you have to do it.
For me it would be perfect if you don't travel that much any more.

I think you need to reach inside and ask yourself what makes you happy and what will make you happy...
is traveling too much part of that or not?..
