Fishy Morning

In a typical Latino manner, Toño came up with the idea this morning to spontaneously invite some friends for dinner tonight. Since those friends are 50% Latinos they actually condoned this behaviour by accepting the invitation. This did not make me panic yet. However, Toño then decided that he wanted some Swedish Salmon as the appetiser. This definitely made me panic. It was already 9:30 am. Far too late to get a good catch on the market. This recipe requires an entire salmon and Swiss usually buy only chopped versions of that fish. Nevertheless, I was lucky and got one. It is simmering in the pot as I type...

Just a little fishie then...

You'd hate NZers who just arrive at the door - I hate this too.

Tell Tono I expect the recipe to be posted, (in English please) and photo/s of the dish too.

Relax, dear Gomad, relax,

xxxxxx Mickle and Zebbycat (we both like salmon, if Zeb was there you'd both be driven batty - now this you don't have to put up with tonight, lol)

@Mickle... The recipe is by Nigella Lawson and published in Nigella Express. I will see how I can get you a copy.
Since this involves a lot of meddling with fish, it is my task to make this dish. It already required quite some talking to get Toño to hold it for the picture. His job will be the main course (low temperature veal roast) and I will then bring on the dessert (seasonal berries with ice cream).

Not a problem, dear Gomad, was just scared that it might appear on "that" foody post you share that is in glorious Spanish. Darling Antipo just a bit too incredibly busy just now to translate for me

Can access Nigella's recipes on the "net" and BBC food site.

Once organised will post on a Nigella cake recipe that Sister and self then added a Nigel Slater citrus syrup to = bliss....

Enjoy tonight - I will be checking, lol and much love and care to you each and both,

Mickle xxxx

Um. The great kiwi "um".

The husband insists on a fish - that he is then too squeemish to handle?

Makes you deal with it all??

Hmmmm - would equal at least 4 weeks of sole loo cleaning duties for Tono to me!

That bears no leverage. The loo cleaning is already part of his scope of house work since I'm not cleaning vigorously enough for his cleanness demands.
